Library of Congress Contracts with Library Systems & Services to Manage Retrospective Holdings Integrity Program

ROCKVILLE, Md. – Library Systems and Services (LS&S) has signed an agreement to continue providing support to the Library of Congress for five more years. Since 2002, the company has worked with the Library of Congress on the Retrospective Holdings Integrity Program (RHIP) and its predecessor program, providing the library with the expertise needed to identify, access and secure its collections.

Among the 20 million+ works in the Library of Congress are general, law and area studies collections, and each contains monographs and serial publications that must be categorized with accurate data. The contract also calls for preparing Gold Microfilm Master Collection reels for transport and cold storage.
